431 million adults have fallen prey to cyber attacks last year, losingthem 114 billion dollars, according to a report by NortonCybercrime. The victims are 74 million Americans who have lost32 billion dollars, the report quoted by AFP.
Cyber attacks and the rate is higher in China and South Africa, 85% of those who said they were victims are Chinese and 84% areAfrican. China cyber attacks cost about $ 25 billion, Brazil $ 15 billion and India $ 4 billion in the last 12 months.
The report shows that more than two-thirds of online adults, ie 69%have been victims of hackers at one point in life, therefore the ratio is almost one million people per day. Mobile phones also becamea favorite target of hackers. 10% of online adults have confessed to have fallen prey to such an attack on the mobile phone.
